Lake Ontario

Underneath the canopy of a tree
with you inside of me,
we were bitten.
All body and blood lust,
hard to soft,
our skin a solemn
offering;
we were given new life
as the lake ran through us
like your fingers so often
found their smooth tide
in my hair.

    I wasn’t too sure with this piece, but I’m glad someone enjoyed it.
